Chamois Mens
Chamois
Here at FiveBrother WorkWear, our 100% cotton chamois work clothing represents the intersection of luxury and durability.
Our chamois workwear fabric should not be confused with the polyester or sheepskin chamois products one buys to polish their cars.
We construct our chamois shirts from soft, suede-like brushed cotton that conveys elegance but is built for strength.
Origins of Chamois Clothing
Chamois gets its name from a species of European antelope that was used to produce this type of leather. We don’t use antelope skin anymore – most chamois cloths are made from goat or sheepskin. However, this leather’s particular usefulness made it popular with hunters and other outdoorsmen.
Chamois began being taken seriously as clothing in America by rugged Northeasterners in the early 1900s. A little while later, chamois was discovered to be strong enough to handle the rigors of bicycle racing. So, in Europe, it started being added to bicycle shorts to prevent chafing.
Chamois Workwear Is as Good Outdoors as It Is Indoors
Today, chamois work shirts are as appropriate in the office as they are on the hunt.
FiveBrother chamois workwear is crafted from brushed cotton for its soft feel and two-needle stitching for strength. It is constructed to live a long life and to retain the same amount of comfort for its duration.
Here at FiveBrother WorkWear, we celebrate the allure of chamois clothing with a modern take on the classic chamois work shirt – perfect for hunting, hiking, or fishing, but just as appropriate for everyday wear.
